The tabernacle included an altar for sacrifice (27:1–7), pointing toward the ultimate sacrifice that Christ would make to deliver his people from sin. This cleansing from sin is indicated by the basin for washing (30:17–21). The table of the bread of the Presence (25:23–30) anticipates Christ as the bread of life and the visible presence of God, who gives and sustains life. The lampstand (25:31–40) signifies the one who would come as the light of the world. And the altar of incense,
